Femicide Conference in Lisbon 2014

CIEG – Interdisciplinary Centre for Gender Studies and ISCSP-ULisboa hosted, between 18 and 20 March, participants from over 17 nationalities  at the COST Conference (COST Action IS1206 on Individuals, Societies, Cultures and Health) about ‘Femicide across Europe’.

The work program included two parliamentary hearings. The Conference was organized in cooperation between ISCSP-ULisboa and the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences from Oporto University and held at ISCSP-ULisboa.

The School of Social and Political Sciences of the University of Lisbon (ISCSP-ULisboa) will welcome the Femicide Lisbon Conference between March 18 and 20.

ISCSP offers it’s installations in order to provide the best reception to the lecturers during the classes period. For this reason, it is extremely important to complete the works before 6 p.m. in order to free the rooms.

Helpful informations:

The internet access is free and costless throughout the building. Access the network “guest-eduroam” (no need for pass-word).

The meal services (bar and canteen) is located on the -1 floor.

The ATM is also located on the -1 floor, next to the bar and canteen).

From Lisbon Airport to the Hotel

TAXI: Outside the terminal buildings one is able to obtain taxi services. These generally charge an average of €10 to the City Center. Some of the taxis have meters in them. They charge a minimum of €2.35 during the day and €2.50 at night.

AEROBUS (CarrisTur): Linking the Airport to downtown Lisbon and Cais do Sodre
(every 20 minutes from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.).

Aerobus Line 1 links the Airport to the following Hotels (from the suggestion list):
